Dear Jessica,
The Home of Christian Poets was a real blessing. I have released a book of poetry this summer....When I won the raffle I won a book by Omawumi Michael Efueye called One Cross is Enough. I opened the book and the first poem I came to was “Calling All Sons And Daughters”. All the words matched my situation, it was extremely prophetic: “Who restores your lost heritage. If you wade in the mire of confusion, He’ll ignite the fire of restoration; Deliver you from being a nonentity”.The whole night was extremely encouraging to know that being a poet is a calling and a purpose. Can’t wait for the next event!Thank you,

I found the Home of Christian poets through Google during a search to try and ascertain whether the voice telling me to pursue Christian poetry was a cruel joke and simply not from God at all. I contacted them and thought nothing again of it until the next day when I received a phone call from the founder, Jessica. A couple of weeks later, I was reading my poetry on Premier Christian radio and had been invited to read at the Home of Christian Poets' launch event. What I have received from Jessica and the warm, talented team around her is so valuable. Encouragement. Encouragement to believe that I have something worthy to offer God. And encouragement that the voice I heard telling me to use my poems to help others really see Jesus, was from God. Jessica encouraged me to step out for Him who is able to use every scrap we offer and multiply it. In 2025 I will be putting on my first exhibition of my poetry alongside art from local Christian painters as a means of outreach to a community who is talented artistically but largely rejecting of God. Thank you Jessica and the Home of Christian Poets!
Dear Jessica,
I was excited to attend the launch of the HOCP ministry. This meant for me the sign of a new chapter in my journey with the Lord. I looked forward to what God would do in establishing Christian poets in their poetic ministry and in business, by having a place to get advice and support which is crucial in one's progress. Along with a place where I could meet and connect with other likeminded individuals. Especially in the field of evangelism, as the Lord has called me to minister to both Christians and those in need of salvation.
The launch was a lovely, well organised event with nice food. I was impressed with the diversity of attendees, as there was a range of ages older and younger, and from different ethnicities and cultures. And many different poets were given the opportunity to do an open mic and share their poetic message. As the winner of the poetry competition it held even more significance for me as I know the Lord has called me for such a time as this. Along with the main prizes, I was also given two books as a bonus which were on a significant subject for me, this was a lovely surprise...

Dear Jessica,
Thank you for such a lovely evening at the launch of HOCP. HOCP is so needed and the services available will impact so many people around the world.
What impressed me the most about the HOCP is the School of Poetry, because of the fact that you will be taught how to self publish your own poetry books, and also that there will be teachings on biblical poetry, poetry theory, how to make poetry into a business and more. This is really exciting especially that the facilitators of HOCP are all Christians seasoned in their field. It gives us poets the tools that we need to progress in so many different ways.
At the launch of HOCP, the diversity of poetry from varying age groups were amazing both from the UK and abroad. Everyone brought their own uniqueness and heartfelt expressions.
Jacqueline Peart recited a poem, 'Finding Me' that I heard her recite at an event many years ago when my children were little and I felt that being a parent, a wife, a Pastor, and all the other hats I was wearing at the time, that I had forgotten who I was. Jacqueline's poem really ministered to me at the time, so to hear that poem again brought back really good memories.
Jermaine's testimony and short film was so moving, also the lovely lady who's poem was about the woman with an issue of blood, that poem took us through every emotion she must have gone through. It made me feel like I was there; absolutely amazing!
To God be all the glory for this open door of opportunities. Well done all, and congratulations my dear friend, Jessica, for pursuing this vision that God gave you with such passion. May you continue to run with momentum as God leads and unfolds each chapter on this journey in Jesus precious name.
Philippians 1:6 NIV
