The Home of Christian Poets (HOCP) is a Christian-led organisation founded on faith in Jesus Christ and guided by biblical Christian values.

We believe the Bible contains the inspired and infallible Word of God and the ultimate guide for faith and doctrine. (2 Timothy 3:16).

We believe there is only One God eternally existent as Father, Son and Holy Spirit , (Deut 6:4) (Matthew 3:16-17).

We believe in the deity of Christ, His virgin birth, sinless life, death for humanity’s sins, bodily resurrection, ascension and imminent return in power (John 1: 1-4; John 10:30; Hebrews 1:1-5)

We believe that salvation can only come by grace through faith in Christ (John 3:16) (John 14:6) (John 1:29)

We believe in believe in water baptism and the ministry of the Holy Spirit, empowering believers with spiritual gifts and guiding them into a victorious Christlike life and  enablement for Christian service and witness. (John 3:3-5,Acts 1: 8; 2:4; 3:1 -26; 4:5 – 12) (Mark 16:15-18, Matt 28:18-20)

We believe in the rapture of the church and the Second coming of Christ and final resurrection of both the saved and the lost; the former to eternal life and the latter to eternal judgement (Revelations 20: 11 -15; 1 Corinthians 15: 12 – 23, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Matthew 29-30)

We believe that words have transformational power and that poetry and creative expression can be used to glorify God, inspire others and communicate truth, hope and encouragement (Proverbs 18:21)

We welcome poets from different nations, cultures and Christian backgrounds. We ask all members to engage respectfully and support the Christian ethos, values and mission of the organisation.
